Eleventh Snapshot
Nov. 30th, 2013 04:24 pmSo, I'm officially starting off my tenure as Editor this month. And...I felt that I would need to start with a bang. And...there's a topic that hits close to home that still hasn't been addressed. And I wanted to address it at a time of year where people are generally kinder and more open to things.
It's a given fact that people are discriminated against. Our world is not an especially accepting world, much to my displeasure. And in this country, we still refuse to acknowledge the discrimination against those of us who are gay, lesbian, transsexual or bisexual. It's there. It's not something that can be ignored either. The only way to lessen the discrimination is to address it and to speak out about it.
I want to run a feature articles about the effect of LGBT discrimination to normal people and to celebrities. I would be very grateful if some of you would agree to be interviewed for this, to both speak about your experiences and clear up some misconceptions about it. I would completely understand if you don't want to, but I would be extremely grateful to those of you who could spare an hour or two to help me out here.
